AHI Executive Director Attends Swearing in Ceremony of the New President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias

WASHINGTON, DC -- The American Hellenic Institute Executive Director Nick Larigakis returned today from a 3-day visit to Athens. During this trip, Mr. Larigakis attended the swearing in ceremony at the House of Parliament for the new President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias.
In addition, Mr. Larigakis had separate meetings with Deputy Foreign Ministers Evripidis Stylianidis and Panagiotis Skandalakis where the detailed discussion focused on advancing mutual cooperation regarding U.S.-Greece relations. Mr. Larigakis also met with the Executive Committee of the AHI Athens Chapter to discuss the AHI's leadership annual delegation trip to Greece in early June.
